Description
Independent operator Berry Corporation’s legacy operations are based in California’s Central Valley, but its growth engine is Utah’s Uinta Basin. Red tape and regulation have made it difficult for Berry to grow its production in California, so now the company is turning to the liquids-rich Uinta Basin in Utah, where the company manages about 1,200 vertical wells. Berry made its move to horizontal development in 2024, landing wells in the Green River Formation’s Uteland Butte reservoir. In this session, Berry Corporation CEO Fernando Arajuo will share more about the company’s storied history, why the Unita Basin makes sense for growth plans and its development program.
