Patti Melcher is Founder and Managing Partner of EIV Capital, LLC, a private equity firm that provides growth capital across the energy industry with over $2 billion AUM. She leads the strategic direction of the firm and directs its investment programs.

Patti has more than 35 years of experience in energy finance and private equity, beginning her career as an Investment Banker for Simmons & Company International. Patti joined SCF Partners at its formation to focus on private equity investments in the oilfield services sector. In 1997, she founded Allegro Capital Management, a private equity firm which made equity investments in energy companies and provided consulting services. That same year she co-founded and served as President and Board Chair (currently Trustee Emeritus) of The Joy School, a non-profit K-8 school focused on meeting the educational needs of children with learning differences.

Patti currently serves as a Director of NOV Inc. (NYSE: NOV), a Pro Tempore Advisor of the University of Virginia School of Engineering and a Trustee of The Joy School Endowment Fund.

Patti earned her B.S. degree in systems engineering from University of Virginia and an M.B.A. from Harvard University.
