Mr. Wilson was born in Midland, Texas and is the 4th generation in his family to work in the oil & gas industry. Over the last 17 years, Brandon has worked as either an investor or operator in every major basin in the United States.

In 2022, Brandon and his partner, Eric Chang, co-founded the first firm focused exclusively on energy secondaries. Melange Capital Partners was formed to improve the ecosystem of the private energy markets for both investors and sponsors by providing liquidity solutions. To date, Melange has raised more than $300 million in capital and invested in both GP-Led and LP-Led secondaries in the energy sector.

Prior to co-founding Melange, Brandon helped lead Reliance Energy, a Permian Basin midstream and upstream company, as CFO. Reliance Energy owned and operated a crude oil gathering pipeline and upstream business in the northern Midland basin. Additionally, Brandon has held roles at Chambers Energy Capital (energy focused credit investing), Kayne Anderson (upstream private equity investing) and Credit Suisse (energy investment banking).

Brandon attended the University of Louisiana – Lafayette where he graduated with a BS in Finance and played division 1 golf. After graduating from UL-Lafayette, he attended Louisiana State University in pursuit of an MBA.

Brandon lives in Austin, TX and is the married father of 3 boys. Brandon serves on the board of New Life Adoptions.
