Prior to joining the Houston office of Petrie Partners in 2016, Richard Moss was a Director on the institutional sales desk of Howard Weil in New Orleans, focused on energy equities, from 2012 – 2016. Richard was also a Vice President at Goldman, Sachs & Co. in its Natural Resources Group in New York and London.
Richard’s notable transaction experience includes advising Pioneer’s merger into ExxonMobil, Ecopetrol’s acquisition of Interconexión, Eléctrica (ISA), Mid-Con Energy’s merger with Contango Oil & Gas, Contango Ore’s restructuring and joint venture with
Kinross, Ecopetrol’s Midland and Delaware Basin Joint Ventures with Oxy, EXCO Resources’ restructuring, Northern Oil & Gas’ acquisition of Flywheel Bakken, LLC (formerly Valorem Energy) and Stone Energy’s merger with Talos.
Richard began his career in 2000 at Petrie Parkman & Co. in the firm’s Mergers and Acquisitions group where he worked on over 25 completed upstream and midstream energy transactions.
Richard earned his BBA from The University of Texas at Austin and his M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.
